The degree programme sets out to train forestry and environmental agronomists specialised in the sustainable and multi-functional management of agro-forest ecosystems and protection of the land, environment and biodiversity.
In the first year, the course provides a solid background in the fundamental subjects for understanding agro-forestry systems.
In the second year, the course includes the study of all the subjects required to understand agro-ecosystems with a view to multi-functionality, environmental protection and sustainability.
Furthermore, the second year includes a curricular internship offering students the opportunity to put their studies into practice.
Finally, the third year of the programme includes the study of the subjects required to sustainably use environmental and territorial resources.
The specific learning outcomes aim to produce graduates able to develop the many aspects relating to land management, the problems linked to the use and protection of natural resources and ecosystems and the evaluation of economic impacts in the agro-forestry system.
Further study of soil, chemistry, biochemistry and agricultural microbiology aim to provide the tools required for environmental monitoring and the environmental assessment of agro-forestry activities.
Studies in ecology, silviculture, agricultural mechanics, agricultural hydraulics and rural constructions aim to provide the knowledge and skills required to analyse and monitor agro-environmental systems and processes for the sustainable land planning and management.
