We are pleased to announce that Camilla Andreozzi, a Stats&Maths undergraduate currently studying for a double degree in Glasgow, has recently published an article in the University’s multidisciplinary journal, Volume 9 of [X]position.
The paper, entitled “DATA: A POWERFUL WEAPON THAT CAN BACKFIRE”, explores how easily data can be misleading when sampling errors are left uncontrolled through the fictional case of a toy company using simulated market data, to show how even well-intentioned estimates can end up with six-digit errors if fundamental principles of statistical design are ignored.
