After registration, you will receive the agreement to sign and send us back.

Once the internshp agreement is signed by both parties, it will be uploaded onto the University intenrship app and you will then be able to post internship offers for students who have to start a curricular internship.

A curricular internship can start only after authorisation of University on Internships - University of Bologna, after the student will have downloaded the attendance record book.

Please read carefully paragraphs below for more detailed information.

Internship offers always include an internship programme, that can be targeted:

• to a single student who has already been selected (“ad personam” offer) by the Host for the activation of the internship;

 -    to students enrolled on different courses (“open” offer”) who are looking for internship opportunities

 accordingly with procedures available among attachments.

The Host is responsible for screening students’ applications.

Every offer includes an internship programme that must be:

• accepted by the student;
• approved by the academic Tutor and the Internship Board before the internship starts.

After approvals, the student and the tutor at the Host will electronically sign the internship programme on the University app.

The student can download the attendance record book and to start the internship, according to the approved period stated on it.

The duration is determined, even when it is intended to prepare for the final examination/thesis, by the number of ECTS assigned to it by the degree programme (1 ECTS is equal to min.25/max.30 internship hours).

For instance, the duration of a 12 ECTS curricular internship is min.300/max.360 hours.

All internship hours must be carried out within the period approved by the Internship Board, stated in the student’s attendance record book.

The period within which all internship hours must be completed may not exceed 12 months, unless differently foreseen by single degree programmes.

The University of Bologna provides accident and third-party liability insurance cover for the period specified in the attendance record book and for the activities specified in the approved internship programme.

The insurance cover does not include journeys from/to your usual or temporary place of residence to the internship location, regardless of the means of transport.

In the event of travels at a location not specified in the approved internship programme, the intern must:

1) arrange this in advance with the Tutor at the Host;

2) submit a prior request by email to the academic tutor – copying (CC) the Hosting tutor and your Internship Office.  The emal must include the reason for the travel, date, time, and full address of the location (street name/number, city, etc.);

in order to extend the insurance covers.

Important: Before travelling it is necessary to wait for the authorization from the Academic tutor via email.

In the event of an accident the Host and the intern have to notify the Internship Office promptly (contacts available at this same page) and sent them the medical documentation issued by A&E.  The Office will fulfill the obligations under current legislation.

For further information please consult the Insurance Policy webpage.
