The degree programme lectures mainly take place in the Navile Campus, about 2 km north from Bologna Centrale railway station, beyond the "Bolognina" district. It can be reached both through Via Piero Gobetti (bus 37-87: stop 'Rotonda CNR'; bus 11: stop 'Rotonda Gobetti"), and through Via della Beverara by crossing the pedestrian bridge near the Museo del Patrimonio Industriale (bus 11-30: stop 'Beverara').
The main building of the Astronomy complex (U3 building) is in Via Gobetti 93/2, next to the 'CNR Roundabout' and the CNR building. Here are located classrooms H, I, L, M, including the IT lab, where lectures of the Bachelor's degree programme in Astronomy and of the Master's degree programme in Astrophysics and Cosmology take place. This building also hosts professors and researchers' offices.
The second building, available for some lectures of the Master's degree programme in Astrophysics and Cosmology, is located in Via della Beverara 123/2 (U1 building), behind the Museo del Patrimonio Industriale.
Some lectures may take place in the city centre in Via Irnerio 46.
Final dissertation discussions take place in Aula della Specola in Via Zamboni 33.
The complex can also be reached through a bike path from the Central Station. The Comune di Bologna offers a public bike-sharing service.
All classrooms have free University WIFI and can have different types of equipment and different capacity.
Our laboratories enable you to try out the knowledge you have acquired. They represent a point of reference for your learning activities, thanks to the technologies available, the learning methods employed and the support provided by tutors with in-depth experience of laboratory work.
All our laboratories are open only to those students who obtained the mandatory training certificate about health and safety in workplaces. Students can enter only if the professor in charge of the laboratory or laboratory technicians are present.
The libraries dedicated to this degree programme are the Biblioteca di Astronomia "Guido Horn d'Arturo" in Via Piero Gobetti 93/2 and the Biblioteca di Fisica in Via Irnerio 46.
