Curriculum requirements

  • Curriculum requirements

To be admitted to the Second-cycle Degree in Automation Engineering the following curriculum requirements should be met:

 

Possession of a 1st cycle degree in one of the following degree classes pursuant to D.M. 270/04 :

L7- Ingegneria Civile ed Ambientale

L8- Ingegneria dell'Informazione

L9- Ingegneria Industriale

L30- Scienze e tecnologie fisiche

L31- Scienze e tecnologie informatiche

L35 - Scienze Matematiche

 

Or the possession of a degree in the equivalent classes to those abovementioned pursuant to the D.M. 509/99 or a degree from a previous degree system or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad,

 

AND

- learning credits obtained in the following subject areas:

  • at least 36 CFU in the SSD MAT/02, MAT/03, MAT/05, MAT/06, MAT/07, MAT/08, FIS/01, FIS/03;
  • at least 6 CFU in the SSD ING-INF/04
  • at least 12 CFU in the set of SSD: ING-IND/13, ING-IND/32, ING-INF/05.

The same criteria shall also apply to those who hold a University degree obtained abroad and deemed suitable by the Degree Board for which it is possible to convert the degree score to the Italian system, and to identify the scientific areas and the number of credits obtained in each sector. Otherwise, the academic career of the applicant shall be assessed by the Degree Board, requiring the in-depth knowledge of Automatic Controls, Mechanics, Computer Science, E  lectric Drives to be admitted.

However, should extraordinary circumstances occur ,the Degree Board might define an alternative evaluation scheme, in any case based upon previous academic records.

Such extraordinary circumstances should be duly proved and motivated.

In very exceptional cases, the Degree Board can assign differentiated didactic plans in compliance with the “Degree Programme Regulation” to those Students with specific previous academic curricula. Such differentiated didactic plans do not concern students who have the First-cycle Degree in Ingegneria dell’Automazione acquired at University of Bologna.
