A free-of-charge training course to the TOEFL certification will be held in January for International Students (including Italian students attending an International Master programme) of the Department DICAM. The TOEFL examination is not included (students are expected to individually subscribe at the TOEFL exam, by corresponding the requested fee). Students attending the training course are required to hold a English level of B1+ at least. The training course will target the level B2/C1. The training course will include 48 teaching hours. A final test will be held to assess the student's level. Students are required to attend at least 80% of the lectures to be admitted at the final test.
Students should note that:
1) The training course is FREE OF CHARGE for Italian and foreign students attending the master degree programme in civil engineering, environmental engineering and chemical engineering. It will be given by professional teachers of the linguistic center of Unibo (CLA,
http://www.cilta.unibo.it/CILTA/default.htm).
2) The course will take place between January 27 and February 20, 2014 for a total of 48 teaching hours, in a room of the school of engineering in Via Saragozza 10 (it is located just above the Students' Secretary). The timetable follows here below.
3) A preliminary and compulsory ADMISSION TEST will take place on Jan 21, 2014 at the CLA Linguistic Center, in Via Filippo Re, 10 - Bologna. The required English level to attend the training course is B1+. The training course will target a B2/C1 level.
4) 25 places are available to attend the course. Participants are ABSOLUTELY required to subscribe from DECEMBER 15, 2013 TO JANUARY 15, 2014 by sending an email to the tutor Dr.
Alessio Pugliese (please use "TOEFL Course as subject line) by specifying: name, surname and UNIBO identification number (matricola). The places will be reserved on a first-come first-served basis and subscriptions will not be accepted before than December 15, 2013. 35 subscriptions will be accepted. These subscribed students will invited to attend the admission test, to be able to compile a reserve list to fill places that may become available after the admission test itself.
