Final examination: modalities and deadlines

In order to graduate, you have to sit a final examination. This examination will consist in verifying your learning outcomes, compared to the learning aims set by the Degree Programme.

The final examination consists in writing a dissertation on a topic consistent with your studies. Your dissertation need to be authentic. A supervisor, i.e. a professor you will choose, will guide you in writing it. The dissertation will be discussed publicly during a specific final examination session in front of a Board.
The Board will assess your performance using your curriculum as a reference. During the discussion, you may use slides and the Commission may ask you in-depth questions on methods, results and any developments of your work.

Graduation application

To submit your application online, you must access Studenti Online before the deadlines set for the application submission and the requirements.

Admission Requirements

In order to graduate, you need to:

  • pass all the exams in your study plan and had them recorded;
  • have paid all tuition fees;
  • upload the dissertation in pdf format on Studenti Online. The dissertation can be uploaded multiple times, until the requirements deadline expires. When uploading the dissertation, the system will ask you to enter some keywords as well as a brief abstract;
  • fill the Alma Laurea questionnaire in via Studenti Online.

The Student Administration Office will verify all requirements and will contact you if there are any issues before the final examination, in order to solve them.

In order to complete your graduation application, you will need to pay a tax (32 €). If you pay this tax after the due deadline, you will have to pay an extra fee (100 €) within the due deadline.

The graduation application is valid for just one graduation session. If you graduate in a later session, you will have to submit your graduation application again and to pay only 16€.

You must upload your dissertation, title page included, in a PDF text format, not encrypted, through Studenti Online, within the deadline.

Both the student and the supervisor must agree upon the file content and access level  in AMS before uploading. After uploading, the supervisor will approve the dissertation.

- Students must comply with deadlines for upload and get supervisor's approval;

- After the Supervisor's approval, you must download the "upload certificate" (dichiarazione di deposito) through Studenti Online, sign it and send it by email at bibliotecacesena.info@unibo.it, together with a scan of your identity card. This certificate is mandatory for the online publication of the dissertation in AMS, according to the favourite access level. Students and the supervisor must agree upon the access level.
