How to submit a request of acknowledgement of an extra-university activity as a curricular internship.
If you have carried out an extra-university activity consistent with your course of study, you may request its recognition in place of the curricular internship.
The activity may include:
employment (fixed-term or permanent), project-based work, apprenticeship, etc.;
Universal Civil Service activities;
volunteer work with organizations authorized for volunteering (see Legislative Decree 112/2017).
You may submit a recognition request:
if you have included the internship in your study plan;
regardless of whether a formal agreement exists between the University and the host organization where the activity was carried out;
at any time of the year, bearing in mind the time required to evaluate your request.
Important notes:
The activity carried out must correspond to at least the number of hours required for the internship credits in your study plan. For example, if your plan includes a 6-credit internship, you must have completed an activity lasting at least 150 hours. Partial recognition is not permitted.
If you wish to undertake a recognition request, you must submit the following documents to the Student Administration Office of Humanities the following documents: ·
o The nature of the employment or volunteer relationship;
o The tasks performed, with details regarding the level of commitment, responsibility, and the student’s degree of autonomy.
The documentation, which may be sent in advance through the service Virtual Helpdesks – “Contact us.” in order to check whether it is complete, must also be delivered in its original form choosing one of these two options:

Your recognition request will be evaluated by the Degree Programme Board in coordination with the Internship Board.
You will be notified of the outcome by the Student Administration Office within 60 days from the date of submission.
If the request is approved, the internship will be automatically recorded in your academic career.
Please note:
If you are about to graduate, you must take into account the deadline for fulfilling the requirements to access the final degree examination. Therefore, you should submit your recognition request well in advance.
The recognition of credits may affect the assessment of merit-based requirements for eligibility for full tuition fee waivers or for the calculation of student contributions based on financial need and academic merit.
You may not request recognition for activities that have already been previously recognized.
