The programme trains professionals who are able to understand the economic rationale, the design, and the quantitative evaluation of public policy. Its focus is on micro-level policies that tackle issues such as poverty, inequality, climate change, underdevelopment, social security, market power and regulation, education, work, international trade, and health.
Two curricula: "Policy Analysis and Evaluation" with courses in public economics and econometrics that are preparatory to applications in specific areas such as labour markets, environmental regulation, competition policy; "Health Economics, Management, and Policy" with courses in health economics and econometrics that are preparatory to specific regulatory and managerial issues in health markets.
