Professional profile: SPECIALIST IN CONTINUING EDUCATION AND IN DIGITAL TRAINING AND BLENDED-LEARNING CONTEXTS
Function in a professional context and competences:
Function in a professional context
- they design, manage and evaluate research, training and innovative experimentation activities in the fields of lifelong education and continuing education;
- they conduct adult education and train-the-trainer activities, with attention to onboarding, retraining and professional guidance processes;
- they design and coordinate information, guidance and cultural and professional training services, in collaboration with institutions, companies, local services and associations;
- they develop and lead digital and blended-learning contexts, including through the use of artificial intelligence tools, ensuring accessibility and inclusion;
- they coordinate project groups for the production and delivery of digital content and for the development of innovative learning ecosystems;
- they participate in defining and implementing strategic training plans at organisational and inter-institutional level;
- they evaluate learning, services and training processes, guiding innovation and the quality of educational practices;
- they oversee and coordinate all the activities and staff involved.
Competencies associated to the function
They are able to:
- manage activities and services operationally (professional guidance, recruitment, tutoring, monitoring and evaluation);
- analyse the social, economic, legal and cultural contexts in which training initiatives are developed;
- select and adapt models, strategies and procedures for initiatives in relation to specific contexts and adult educational needs;
- coordinate activities, services and staff from an integrated and innovative perspective;
- initiate and consolidate local collaborative networks with institutional and non-institutional stakeholders;
- recognise and certify competences, including non-formal and informal learning;
- address complex relational and organisational situations through problem posing and problem solving;
- conduct self-assessment and develop their competences by designing continuing self-training programmes;
- apply initiative and entrepreneurial spirit to respond to the complexity of real-world contexts.
