Graduates of the Second Cycle Degree/two year Master Programme in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering for Energy have a high level of cultural and professional training from a functional, constructive, management and economic point of view:
- in relation to the specific materials of this class
- in relation to the innovative design of electronic devices and components
- in relation to electronic systems for the generation and processing of electric signals
- in relation totelecommunications systems and networks
- in relation to ICT technologies for the generation and efficient use of energy
- in relation to ICT technologies for monitoring and controlling the environment.
The aim of the Second Cycle Degree/two year Master Programme in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering for Energy is to produce technical managers qualified to work in positions of responsibility in the field of design, management, coordination and development of industrial and/or research activities in public or private companies and organisations, as well as to offer high-level services as a freelance professional. Career prospects include the possibility of working for companies that specifically operate in the fields of electronics and communications, in the application of ICT technologies related to energy efficiency and the environment, and invarious industries and companies that offer highly technological services.
In each of the five learning areas indicated above, students will undertake extensive laboratory work that will allow them to gain a deeper understanding of the applicative aspects of the discipline. Students may also undertake internships through the collaboration agreements in place with national public and private organisations.
Additionally, candidates must meet the curricular requirements and pass an assessment test.
Curricular requirements
Admission to the Second Cycle Degree/two year Master programme requires satisfaction of the following requirements:
a) possession of a first-cycle degree in class 9 (Italian Ministerial decree 509/99), or class L-8 (Italian Ministerial decree DM270/2004)
b) possession of a three-year bachelor's degree or another foreign qualification recognised as suitable and possession of university credits in the following subject areas:
a.at least 18 credits in the following subject areas: ING-INF/01, ING-INF/02, ING-INF/03;
b. at least 36 credits in the following three groups of subject areas (minimum of 9 credits in each group):
i. MAT/02, MAT/03, MAT/05, MAT/06, MAT/07, MAT/08, MAT/09;
ii. FIS/01, FIS/03;
iii. ING-INF/05, INF/01, ING-INF/04.
A specific Committee appointed by the Degree Programme Board will verify whether the above curricular requirements are met in the case of a qualification obtained in Italy under the previous education regime or obtained abroad and recognised as suitable.
Assessment of personal knowledge and skills
English language skills (B2 level), based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, are also required.
