The 2ndcycle degree programme in Engineering Management specifically aims to produceprofessional figures who are able to fill management roles with high levels oforganisational responsibility which demand technological knowledge combinedwith a solid background in economics and the various aspects of businessmanagement.
Graduates inEngineering Management have in-depth knowledge of the specific subjects of thisclass, particularly in the fields of processing technologies and systems,industrial systems, business organisation and management, automation systemsand processes.
The careeropportunities for engineering management graduates include in particular roleswhich require specific skills in handling complex problems characterised bytechnological constraints and opportunities through the application of advancedeconomic and management tools and skills, with particular focus on situationsin which physical, financial and human resources need to be optimised in highlycomplex conditions, assuring quality as well as product and process safety,analysing the problems linked to the environmental impact and constraints,examining the opportunity to adopt new technologies assessing theorganisational and competitive aspects.
EngineeringManagement graduates must therefore demonstrate specific and advanced competences,compared to other 2nd cycle graduates, in: designing, running andmanaging the physical and organisational components of technology-basedproduction and logistic structures; designing, running and managingoperational, administrative, technical, commercial processes and relativeinformation flows. The value of management engineering graduates will beparticularly enhanced in activities with a high technical and economiccomplexity in contexts which demand innovative approaches.Consequently, the 2ndcycle degree programme in Engineering Management aims to provide in-depthknowledge of business management in the main functional fields of the structureand operations of various types of advanced production and logistics systems,industrial technologies and the relative economic and organisational aspects;modelling and design skills applied to production, logistics, administrativeand technical-commercial processes and the identification and measurement ofperformance, planning and implementation of improvement actions; in-depthknowledge of information and communication technologies applied to businessprocesses.

Admission Requirements

Candidates for the 2nd cycle degree programme in Management Engineering shall meet the curricular requirements and must pass a test to assess their personal competencies and skills.

Curricular requirements:

Candidates must have a 1st cycle degree or other suitable qualification obtained abroad in one of the classes listed in the degree programme teaching regulations.

They must also have obtained credits in the subject areas indicated in the admission requirements established for the programme in the degree programme teaching regulations.

Assessment of personal competencies and skills

Admission to the 2nd cycle degree programme is subject to the passing of a test to assess the candidates' personal competencies and skills, which will follow the methods defined in the degree programme teaching regulations.
