The CFA Research Challenge has arguably become one of the most important university competitions globally, involving more than 1000 universities, over 6400 students and 3000 volunteers in 90 countries.
In this competition a team of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 university students works for a few months on the analysis of a listed company with the aim of writing a report like real financial analysts and reaching a recommendation investment: Sell, Hold, Buy.
It is a very complex and difficult job, which allows students to put into practice the knowledge acquired during their university career and benefit from the support of professors and mentors. During the project students will also have the opportunity to meet the management and the investor relator of the analyzed company. In addition, they will have financial platforms such as FactSet or Refinitiv at their disposal to find useful information for their analysis.
The winner of the Italian competition then enters the Southern Europe competition and then EMEA and, lastly, the global final.
Student travel expenses are covered by the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Italy.
