International Politics and Economics is a multi-disciplinary Masters’ Degree programme with restricted access in which the teaching system meets the requirements of two different classes:

  • Class LM-56 – Economics

and

  • Class LM-62 – Political Science

Admission Requirements

In order to apply for admission to the A.Y. 23/24 in International Politics and Economics Masters' Degree, it is necessary:

  1. To hold a relevant Bachelor's (First cycle) Degree (see the Call for Application for details). Please note: non graduate applicants are allowed to apply provided they have minimum 130 CFU or if they have completed minimum 72% of the academic career in case of Italian academic qualifications as  awarded before D.M. 509/99 and non-Italian academic qualifications (Transcripts of Records);
  2. To have a minimum B2 Level knowledge of the English language (CEFR) to be certified as detailed in the Call for Application. Please note: applicants who do not hold any of the accepted certificate nor they fall within any of the exemption categories have the opportunity to register for and sit the OOPT - Oxford Online Placement Test (see List of deadlines below for registration);
  3. To have a suitable preparation: the assessment is based on the academic career, on the consistency of the credits obtained with LM IPE and on further academic as well as non academic experiences.

Please check the DEADLINES and be aware that the terms reported in the Call for Application are mandatory. 

OOPT

Candidates who do not hold any of the English B2 level language certificates listed in the call for Application, nor they fall within any of the exemption categories have the opportunity to sit the OOPT - Oxford Online Placement Test.

Candidates can sign up to the OOPT only if the 50€ admission fee is paid.

Students must register on Studenti Online, in the section “Bookings”.

  • 1st intake: on March the 29th 2023, at 10.00 a.m. (CET) - Sign up by March the 24th at 11:59 pm (CET)
  • 2nd intake: on June the 19th 2023, at 9:30 a.m. (CET) – Sign up from April 14th at 6 pm to June 14th at 11:30 pm (CET)

Tuition Fee Amounts

Tuition fees are calculated based on the 2023 ISEE value with special subsidies in relation to the right to higher education. First year students with an ISEE value up to a specific threshold benefit from full exemption; the relevant ISEE threshold will be released by the end of May 2023. Above this limit, tuition fees are calculated progressively.

The ISEE value must be submitted, even if you have not enrolled in the Degree Programme, by 30 October 2023, at 6:00pm (or by 15 November 2023, at 6:00pm, paying a €100 penalty) accessing ER-GO Online Services, alternatively you will have to pay the full amount.

If you are an international student, verify how your tuition fees will be calculated according to your country of origin and the country where your family has income and assets.

Matriculation

After you have checked that all the admission requirements have been met, you can enrol on  Studenti Online:

  1. fill in the application for matriculation with the required information and attach a passport photo in digital format;
  2. pay the first instalment of your tuition fees;
  3. follow the instructions to complete the procedure which you will find on Studenti Online according to your profile.
