In 2022 LM-IPE is partnering up with MAiA, the official alumni association of the Join Master’s Degree in Eastern European and Eurasian Studies (MIREES), with the purpose of establishing the alumni association of the Programme.
MAiA was entrusted with organizing a comprehensive capacity building activity to provide the necessary knowledge, skills and tools that will allow IPE students to conceptualize, launch and lead their alumni network.
This new project is implemented over 12 months, involving a team of 15 highly motivated students coming from diverse and complementary backgrounds. It is structured in three phases: the first phase offers a theoretical and empirical introduction to the alumni networking sector, including case studies presented by international guests; the second phase is devoted to project writing and cycle management, and a focus on the technical instruments for community building; the last phase is devoted to the actual operationalization of the IPE alumni association. In this final and core exercise, students benefit from MAiA’s tutorship and the financial support to kick off their alumni network.
The final launch of the IPE Alumni is foreseen to take place in December 2022 during an in-person event involving the academic community and stakeholders.
