FROM POTENTIAL TO POSITIONING: NAVIGATING YOUR PATH IN A GLOBAL JOB MARKET
On 19 May 2026, the online workshop “From Potential to Positioning: Navigating Your Path in a Global Job Market” will take place via Microsoft Teams. The initiative is aimed at supporting students in entering today’s job market, characterized by uncertainty, rapid change, and increasing competition, while helping them define their professional positioning in an international context.
The workshop will provide concrete and immediately applicable tools to develop an effective professional strategy. Participants will be involved in practical activities, including building and strengthening their professional profile through CV and LinkedIn, translating academic experience into marketable skills, analysing key megatrends shaping the future of work, and engaging in guided reflection and coaching exercises to identify strengths and possible career paths.
The session will be led by Patrizia Belotti, Strategy Delegate and People, Organization & Global Development Director at Salugea, with extensive experience in human resources, talent development, and leadership.

FIRST-YEAR LEGo STUDENTS VISITED EFSA IN PARMA!
On 4 May 2026, first-year students from the Master’s Degree Programme in Law, Economics and Governance at the University of Bologna visited the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in Parma, gaining first-hand exposure to one of the EU’s key agencies.
The initiative provided a valuable occasion to explore how science, law, and governance intersect in the field of food safety. Through interactive sessions with EFSA staff, participants were introduced to the Authority’s mission, its role in supporting evidence-based policymaking, and its commitment to transparency and sustainability, with particular attention to governance and legal frameworks.
A central highlight of the day was the session dedicated to career opportunities for young professionals. Participants received concrete insights into entry paths within European agencies, recruitment processes, and the competencies required to pursue an international career. The discussion made these prospects more tangible, offering valuable guidance for future professional choices.
Direct interaction with EFSA professionals fostered an open and engaging exchange, helping participants connect academic knowledge with institutional practice.
This initiative reflects the programme’s strong commitment to complementing academic training with practical exposure, enabling participants to engage directly with European institutions and better understand how legal, economic, and governance frameworks operate in real-world contexts.
Participants expressed strong appreciation for the experience, particularly valuing the focus on career pathways and the opportunity to engage directly with practitioners. The openness and availability of EFSA staff were highlighted as key elements of a highly enriching visit.

INSIDE TALENT ACQUISITION: UNDERSTANDING HOW COMPANIES THINK TO NAVIGATE THE JOB MARKET
On 21 April 2026, the online lecture “Inside Talent Acquisition: Understanding How Companies Think to Navigate the Job Market” took place via Microsoft Teams. The initiative offered a practical perspective on how the job market works “from the other side,” through the direct experience of an HR Director.
The session aimed to help students approach the job market in a more informed, aware, and strategic way by providing insight into internal company dynamics and decision-making processes.
During the lecture, participants explored how companies define roles and organizational needs, how candidates are selected and hiring decisions are made, and how junior profiles and potential are evaluated. The session also addressed key contemporary topics such as pay transparency, Diversity & Inclusion, and candidate experience.
The lecture was delivered by Francesco De Meo, HR Director, who shared his direct professional experience and provide an insider view of talent acquisition processes and company expectations.

LEGo PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP: AI IN THE WORKPLACE
On April 13th and 16th, 2026, LEGo students had the opportunity to participate in a two-session Professional Development Workshop entitled “AI in the Workplace: Skills, Ethics and Real-World Applications.”
Students explored the foundations of artificial intelligence, with a focus on generative models, their logic, limits and reliability. Through hands-on exercises, they learned how to write effective prompts, critically evaluate AI outputs, and apply AI tools to legal and economic contexts, including document analysis, argument construction and scenario building.
The programme also addressed key organizational, legal and ethical issues, such as governance, responsibility, transparency and compliance within the European regulatory framework.

CAREER TIME MACHINE: REFLECTING ON CAREERS IN A CHANGING WORLD
On Thursday, March 12, 2026, the Organizational Management course concluded with a guest talk titled "Career Time Machine" by Alessandro Ferrarese, Senior Manager at CRIF in the Transformation Services area.
Drawing on experiences across consulting, retail, and financial services, Alessandro Ferrarese shared reflections that went beyond his current role. The talk explored what one might say to their younger self at the beginning of their career, and what advice might be relevant for those starting today, in a context of rapid transformation in organizations and job markets.
The session offered students a valuable opportunity to hear a practitioner’s perspective on career development and to think about how young professionals can approach their first steps in the contemporary world of work.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Deloitte Consulting met with the students of the Organizational Management course to present its Business Chemistry model and engage them in an interesting and stimulating role play.

LEGo FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS VISITED EFSA IN PARMA!
On Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, first-year students of the LEGo programme had the opportunity to visit the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in Parma. This visit, organized by the LEGo faculty, allowed students to explore one of the key institutions responsible for food safety in the European Union.
During the visit, students attended presentations on EFSA’s mission, career opportunities, and governance. They also gained a deeper understanding of EFSA’s commitment to science, transparency, and sustainability, as well as its legal framework and role in EU decision-making.
This experience highlighted EFSA not only as a key player in European food safety but also as a potential future workplace for LEGo graduates.
EKIS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP: DISCOVER YOUR TALENTS AND MAXIMIZE RESULTS
On April 17-18, 2024 LEGo students had the exclusive and unique opportunity to follow a two-session professional development workshop held by EKIS (https://www.ekiscorporate.it/).
High-quality professional coaching gave our students the tools to set and achieve their professional goals, focusing on their talents and a set of actions. They thus acquired distinctive knowledge of core managerial capabilities learning how to take any vision and turn it into reality by recognizing and using the resources inside of them. Practical activities were held and communication and exchange of experience was encouraged: this created a friendly environment for our students to get to know each other better.
FIRST-YEAR LEGo STUDENTS VISITED THE PORT AUTHORITY IN CIVITAVECCHIA!
On November 27th, 2023, first-year LEGo students visited the Central-Northern Thyrrenean Sea Port Authority located in Civitavecchia (Rome) accompanied by Prof Massimiliano Musi (professor of Transport Regulation Law) and Prof Maria Rita Tagliaventi (LEGo programme director).
The students had the opportunity to attend the performance of some port operations and thus to grasp how the port system is organized and what activities are carried out. Mr Matteuzzi, Head of Port Operations and Public Domain Management, held a presentation on the topic of ‘The Legal Regime of Port Operations and the Legal Nature of Port Authorities’, through which our students had the chance to advance their understanding of the functioning of this body.
As faculty and staff, we are proud to offer our students such valuable opportunities to test practical applications of academic knowledge.
LEGo STUDENTS VISITED EFSA IN PARMA!
On Monday October 23rd, 2023 LEGo faculty organized a daylong visit to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) located in Parma.
EFSA is the reference body for risk assessment of food and feed in the European Union. Its work covers the entire food chain – from field to fork. It was established in 2002 and is one of a number of bodies that are responsible for food safety in Europe.
Thus, the Authority is a most relevant agency that applies norms, procedures, and strategies that are studied in LEGo programme, as well as a valuable possible future workplace. The students had the chance to understand how this authority functions and explore the opportunities they have to work there with the descriptive guidance of well-established professionals.
WELCOME TO THE VERY FIRST LEGo STUDENTS!
On October, 26th 2022 a team building activity was held for the first students enrolled in the Law, Economics and Governance master's degree programme.
Guided by the expertise of the Human Ex-Challenge agency specializing in organizational solutions and coaching, our students got involved through a role play that transported them to a medieval Bologna.
After eating together with some Professors and Members of the administrative staff, the participants were able to begin to get to know each other outside the university setting by creating an environment of cooperation and team building.
