The 2nd cycle degree programme sets out to produce experts in the various professional cultures currently connected to scenic art.
It teaches advanced theoretical and practical skills connected with live performing, oriented in particular to the contemporary world. The aim is to train high-level operators involved in creating, management, theatre criticism and professional training, as well as scholars engaged in specialist research.
Students registered in the 2nd cycle degree programme in Live performing arts will be given training in 3 connected areas: history and criticism; directing and script-writing; planning and management. The first field investigates methodologies of research and historical-philological-interpretive disciplines connected to the study of theatrical languages, while the others teach artistic-planning-operative skills (theory-methodology-practice), in the field of present-day live performance, in particular regarding script-writing, directing and organisational management.
