Second Cycle Degree/Two Year Master in Mechanical Engineering for Sustainability

Academic Calendar

The Academic Calendar is the official tool defining the schedule of all educational activities for the academic year. It specifies the start and end dates of classes, holiday breaks, examination periods, and graduation sessions.

Key organizational guidelines approved by the Department of Industrial Engineering:

According to the University Teaching Regulations (RDA), examinations cannot be taken before the end of the respective course, relative to the student’s year of enrollment.

The RDA further stipulates that the Department must provide at least six exam dates (appelli) per year, and in any case, a sufficient number to allow students to effectively plan their workload. These dates must be appropriately distributed throughout the academic session, with a minimum interval of 15 days between consecutive dates for the same subject.

The Department of Industrial Engineering has adopted the following organizational best practices:

  • Avoid overlapping exam dates for courses within the same year of study whenever possible;

  • Avoid scheduling exams during the teaching period, ensuring all students can attend classes until the end of the semester;

  • Schedule exam dates well in advance, verifying classroom availability through the AlmaEsami platform;

  • Schedule at least two exam dates in the session immediately following the end of classes, and at least one in every subsequent exam session.

INTEGRATED COURSES (C.I.)
Integrated courses consist of two or more modules that may be taught by different professors, sometimes during the same period. A single final grade will be recorded for the entire integrated course, based on the evaluation of the results achieved in the individual modules.
