Information on how to prepare and present a study plan
The study plan is the complete set of exams that you need to sit in order to graduate. Some exams are compulsory, while others are elective.
You can submit the study plan if you are regularly enrolled (be sure that you paid all due fees and that you submitted the residence permit receipt or card if you are an international student) and if your year of registration envisages the submission of the study plan.
If you plan to graduate by the end of a.y. 2022/2023 (session of March 2024), you cannot submit or change your study plan in the current academic year (a.y. 2023/2024).
During a.y. 2022/2023, you can submit and amend your study plan in the following periods:
- First period: from 02/10/2023 – to 29/12/2023
- Second period: from 01/03/2024 – to 31/03/2024
The transferable skills can be chosen starting from October 9th, 2023.
Following expiry of these deadlines, the last study plan presented will be deemed valid and no further amendments can be made.
The study plan is filled in and submitted through StudentiOnline. During the two periods indicated above, you can submit and amend it without limitations. Once the deadline for submission expires, the latest submitted study plan will be considered valid and no more amendments will be accepted. Once the study plan submitted online is approved, the list of courses can be found in your career.
If you select free-choice learning activities from among those offered by the degree programme, there is no need for an evaluation and your plan is approved automatically.
On the other hand, if you want to choose learning activities that are not included in the teaching regulations of your curriculum, the Degree Programme Board will have to approve your study plan. For a preliminary check it is advisable to contact the Degree Programme Director.
Please note that you can choose courses from Second Cycle Degrees/Two Years Masters only.
If you are interested in adding a free choice learning activity that is not among those listed by your degree programme, search it by course code through the following search tools (available at the bottom of the page on the online submission platform of the study plan):
If the course you are interested in is offered by a degree programme with restricted access, you have to submit your request through this form, which is to be sent to the Degree Programme Office scienze.didattica@unibo.it in pdf format from your @studio.unibo.it account during the two specific periods.
The form will be submitted to the degree programme which offers the course, hence the procedure will take up to several weeks. You will be updated by the Degree Programme Office once your request has been accepted.
If you wish to change your curriculum, first discuss about it with the Degree Programme Director.
In case of approval, you have to fill in this form and send it to the Degree Programme Director for their signature. Later, you have to send the signed document to the Degree Programme Office (scienze.didattica@unibo.it) to register this change in your career.
Please remember to indicate all the learning activities that need to be included in your study plan for each group (according to the Course Structure Diagram of the selected curriculum) and add all the relevant information as requested in the form (course code, course name, degree programme code, ECTS, course type/TAF, list/group).
When submitting the study plan online, Physics students can only choose the activity 87956 - PREPARATION FOR THE FINAL EXAMINATION (24 CFU) / 88047 - PREPARAZIONE PROVA FINALE (24 CFU). If you want to carry out practical and research activities within Unibo laboratories or companies/institutions external to Unibo, such activities will be registered in your records. However, you cannot include them in your study plan on your own: only after planning your project with your thesis Supervisor, your student records will be modified accordingly by the Student Administration Office.
For further information about the credits of the activity "Preparation for the final examination", please check this page https://corsi.unibo.it/2cycle/Physics/preparation-for-the-final-examination.
