Language requirements

International programmes at UNIBO are demanding and you will need to demonstrate that you have a high level of English language proficiency before you embark on your studies.

You can meet English language requirements (B2 level) in the following ways:

- you are an undergraduate (three years duration) or a postgraduate in English taught degrees:

- you are English native speaker; 

- you possess one of the English language certificates listed in the box aside;

- you pass the language test (OOPT) on one of the following dates*:

  • 4 March 2025 (for candidates intake 1)
  • 8 April 2025 (for candidates intake 1)
  • 6 May 2025 (for candidates intake 1)
  • 4 June 2025 (for candidates intake 2)
  • 2 July 2025 (for candidates intake 2)
  • 4 July 2025 (for candidates intake 3)
  • 9  July 2025 (for candidates intake 3)

Each test session will start at 9.30 am CET

Considering the limited number of places available, registration is required well in advance before the date set for the test (first come first served) by email to cdlm.resd@unibo.it. No request for OOPT will be considered without a full RESD application uploaded online.

Further instructions will be provided by the University Language Centre (CLA).

* In the event the test will tale place in presence, the scheduled dates could be modified according to laboratories availability.
