Lecture halls

Lecture halls of varying size are located in Palazzo Santacroce, via Guaccimanni 42. While equipped differently, they all offer the University WIFI system free of charge.

Study rooms and ICT laboratories

Students are welcome to use any study rooms or ICT laboratories. All study rooms have access to the wireless network.

Students studying together are encouraged to use study rooms so that they are able to talk freely without disturbing others.

The degree programme makes one study room available for your use, whenever you want.
The room is open from Monday to Friday, between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm.

Biology Laboratory (Bologna)

TYPE OF ACTIVITIES: Restoration interventions on archaeological bones and application of diagnostic techniques for the identification of the post-mortem human bone modifications

Mineralogy and Petrography (Bologna)

TYPE OF ACTIVITIES: Application of optical, petrographic, mineralogical and geo-chemical techniques for the study of natural and artificial stone heritage materials.

Microchemistry and Microscopy Art Diagnostic Laboratory (M2ADL -Ravenna)

TYPE OF ACTIVITIES: Scientific research in M2ADL is primarily focused on the study of the physical and chemical nature of cultural heritage. Research efforts address specific questions concerning the technical and material nature of art objects and monuments and the study of questions related to their conservation.

Chemistry Laboratory (Ravenna)

TYPE OF ACTIVITIES: Application of chromatographic techniques for the identification of organic substances (binding media, varnishes, pigments, etc.) 

Nuclear magnetic Resonance Laboratory (Bologna)

TYPE OF ACTIVITIES: Application of NMR to the diagnosis of heritage porous materials.

X-Rays and Computer Tomography Laboratory (Ravenna)

TYPE OF ACTIVITIES: Application of Digital X-Ray Radiography and Computer Tomography to the study and diagnosis of cultural heritage objects.

Laboratory of Material Resistance (LISG - Bologna)

TYPE OF ACTIVITIES: Application of non-destructive diagnostic techniques (sonic, ultra-sonic, impact-eco, georadar and thermography) for the evaluation of the state of conservation of cultural heritage.

Computer Science Laboratory (Ravenna)

TYPE OF ACTIVITIES: Application of ICT technologies for the documentation and valorization of cultural heritage. Development of specific databases for the storage and manipulation of scientific data collected with the use different analytical techniques.

Our degree programme activities use the Campus Central Library.
