Instructions to complete the matriculation procedure

After paying your matriculation fee, go on Studenti Online and, in the details of the matriculation file, you will find the additional steps you need to take to complete the process and receive your badge.

Depending on your situation, you will need to take further steps for the University to be able to:

  • identify you, that is, link your institutional e-mail account (@studio.unibo.it) to the information you provided during the matriculation process;
  • activate your career, allowing you to carry out all the activities in your curriculum and use the University’s services. By activating your career, you will be able to use several services, which include submitting your study plan, booking exams, accessing the Wi-Fi network and online library resources, and carrying out career activities (course transfer, transfer to another university, withdrawal from studies);
  • allow you to receive your badge: after activation, you can get your badge by following the instructions contained in the e-mail that will be automatically sent to you.

Digital identification

Your digital identity will be automatically validated:

  1. If you have SPID credentials and have used them to access Studenti Online at least once.
  2. If you matriculated at the University of Bologna and were enrolled in a degree programme after 2004.
  3. If you took a written or oral exam, also remotely, at the University of Bologna (not including TOLC tests and national competitive exams).

If none of the above conditions apply to you, from 15 September 2020 you can book an appointment to be identified remotely by logging into Studenti Online and going to the details section of your matriculation file. On your chosen date and time, you will need to connect to a virtual space via ZOOM and show an identity document. You will receive all the instructions by e-mail.
