Information on how to prepare and present a study plan.
The study plan is the complete set of exams that you need to sit in order to graduate. Some exams are compulsory, while others are elective.
A study plan can be presented by properly enrolled students who have paid their tuition fees and, in the case of international students, who hold a valid residence permit. Students enrolled as "fuori corso" (past envisaged duration of the degree programme) can not submit a study plan.
You can present and amend your study plan in the periods below during the academic year.
For the academic year 2024/2025:
9 September - 6 December 2024
7 January - 23 May 2025
Degree Program | Year of Study | Credits |
---|---|---|
SEM |
1st year |
No choice |
SEM | 2nd year | See course structure diagram |
Following expiry of the deadlines, the last study plan presented will be deemed valid and no further amendments may be made.
The study plan can be presented via Studenti Online by enrolled students who, accessing the website using their University usernames and passwords:
- need to add optional subjects to their plan;
- need to choose a curriculum;
- need to amend choices made in prior years.
After making the desired choices, remember to click on “save” so that your study plan can be presented correctly.
It is also advisable to print a copy of your completed study plan. This copy is in fact the only way to check for formal or substantive errors that might arise after uploading your study plan.
If you select elective subjects from among those offered by the degree programme, there is no need for assessment and your plan is approved automatically and input to your career file.
On the other hand, if you want to choose exams not specifically offered by your degree programme, approval or otherwise will be decided by the Study Plan Committee.

The Learning Agreement replaces the study plan in your period abroad and you can state your optional and elective choices on the L.A. For the optional and elective choices that you do not include in your L.A., you need to include them in the study plan within the set deadlines.
However, if you are leaving for an exchange period, it may be wise to fill in the study plan anyway as if you were in Rimini. Why? If, for example, you do not manage to sit abroad all the exams that you had planned in your L.A., having optionals / electives selected in your study plan is a safer fall back option if you want to take them in Rimini on your return. If they are not selected, you cannot take them when you come back.
Essentially, everything that is not a mandatory module needs to be duly selected, be it in the final version of the Learning Agreement or in the Study Plan, or both to be on the safe side.
