Language requirements

You can meet language requirements in the following ways:

• You have successfully completed an undergraduate degree (of at least three years duration), a postgraduate English taught degree  or

• You are a national and resident of Canada or one of the majority English-speaking countries (whose first language is English). If it is not clear elsewhere in your application, please provide an indication that English was the language of instruction in your primary/secondary education or

• You have passed a recognised English language test at an appropriate level (at least B2). Our preferred tests are listed below:

IELTS = International English Language Testing System
IGCSE = International General Certificate of Secondary Education
ISE = Integrated Skills in English
PTE = Pearson Test of English
TOEFL iBT = Test Of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test

IELTS Academic Online amd PTE Academic Online are not accepted.
IELTS is accepted both in Academic and General Training version.
For the recognition of Cambridge IGCSE English First Language amd English as a Second Language it is necessary to sit all parts: reading, writing, listening, speaking.
For the recognition of Trinity ISE it is necessary to sit all modules: reading, writing, listening, speaking.

* Certificate issued to candidates who have not achieved a Proficiency passing grade (Council of Europe
Level C2) but have demonstrated ability at the level below this.
** Certificate issued to candidates who have not achieved an Advanced or Business Higher passing grade
(Council of Europe Level C1) but have demonstrated ability at the level below this.
