The International Master program in Innovation and Organization of culture and arts is a program taught entirely in English and has a compulsory attendance policy.
The Master’s in Innovation and Organization of culture and arts (i.e. GIOCA) has restricted access, therefore there is a limited number of places available.
Those candidates who are interested in the Programme, comprising those who would like to transfer from other Universities or different Degree Programmes (within the University of Bologna), must take part in the selection process.
Moreover, those applicants who require the recognition of a precedent Academic Degree (Italian or Foreign Degree) or dropped out from precedent Programmes have to participate in the participation process.
For the a.y. 2024-25, the total number of places available is 50:
- 25 places for Italian Citizens, EU Citizens and non-EU Citizens with EU Equivalent Status (who are);
- 25 places for non-EU Citizens with Residence Abroad (who are);

The application must be submitted in STUDENTI ONLINE. There are no alternative application methods.
To proceed with the application process, it is required to pay a € 50 participation fee by the application deadline.

To be admitted to the selection process, for Students with a Bachelor degree obtained Not in Italy it is necessary to:

The English Language certification is NOT required only if:
- the candidate attends or graduated in a first cycle or second cycle degree held in English (upload the transcript of records that explicitly indicate so);
- the candidate passed a B2 level English Language exam in his/her Bachelor's.
It is required to attach the transcript of grades with exam level B2 highlighted;
- the applicant is an English native speakers
- have completed a period of study exchange/internship lasting at least 3 months in an English-speaking country.
- have completed an exchange/internship period of at least 3 months in a non-English-speaking country in English.
NON-EU students living outside Italy, next to complying with the rules and deadlines established by the University of Bologna, must pre-enrol online through the Universitaly portal by July 2024.

To be admitted to the selection process, for Students with a Bachelor degree obtained in Italy it is necessary to:

Alternatively, if you do not hold a bachelor degree among the above-mentioned, you must have acquired at least 40 CFU among the following scientific disciplinary sectors (SSD):
2.have an English language knowledge certification.
Candidates must possess a minimum B2 level or equivalent in order to be admitted to the selection procedure. Only the English certifications issued within 6 years before 2024 are considered valid, regardless of their expiration date.

To be taken only if you do not have an English Certificate or if you do not fall into the cases listed as proof of knowledge of English outside certifications.
The CLA organizes test sessions to assess English language skills for the candidacy of international master's degrees.
The test results in a CEFR level equal to the student's competence: Oxford Online Placement Test therefore recognizable as an incoming B2 certification
1) Only those who wish to apply for Innovation and Organization of Culture and Arts curriculum can take the test
2) The test will be administered online via the Oxford platform with the support of the Zoom platform for proctoring. The test can be taken from home.
3) The shifts reserved for those wishing to enroll in Innovation and Organization of Culture and Arts are:
Round 1: 20 March, 21 March h.9 or h.11 deadline for enrollment 14 March 2024
Round 2: 17 April, 18 April h.9 or h.11 deadline for enrollment 10 April 2024
4) The interested student must send an email to the address didatticasociale.tutorgioca@unibo.it by the deadline of each round
5) To participate, the student must have an address @ studio.unibo.it. If you are not a unibo student or if you have not already obtained for other initiatives (Almaorienta for example), you must pre-accredit yourself using the Studenti On-Line (SOL) platform on the Unibo website by obtaining credentials @studio.unibo.it
6) All information on how to access the test will be communicated through the unibo institutional email address BEFORE THE TEST

The selection is composed of:
A specially appointed committee will evaluate the applications. The Selection Committee also evaluates the candidate’s approach to team-working and problem solving, and his/her attitude in social relations.
Only a score equal to or higher than 25/40 in Phase 1 (i.e., CV evaluation) will allow the candidate to proceed to Phase 2.
The interviews will take place in presence or on remote, using Microsoft Team. The interviews schedule and the link for the virtual Microsoft Team room will be published on Studenti Online (SOL).
Only a score equal to or higher than 35/60 in Phase 2 (i.e., interview) will allow the candidate to successfully pass this phase.
Thus, candidates that obtain an overall score equal to or higher than 60/100 (i.e., the sum of CV evaluation score and interview score) are eligible for admission and will be placed in the ranking.
On the contrary, those candidates who get an overall score lower than 60/100 will be automatically excluded from the ranking and will not be able to proceed with the enrollment.
In case two candidates obtain the same score, the younger candidate has the priority.
Candidates - who do not have a Bachelor's Degree at the time of the application - can take part to the admission procedure. In case they successfully pass the selection, they can enroll to the Program under condition.
This means they must obtain their Bachelor's Degree by October, 31st October 2024, otherwise they will be automatically excluded from the Program even if already enrolled. The enrollment fee already paid will be refunded.
Two different rankings will be published: one regards non-EU citizens and one refers to EU citizens and non-EU citizens with EU equivalent status.
In case the places allocated for non-EU citizens will not be fully taken, they will be made available to EU citizens and non-EU citizens with EU equivalent status.

If you are an international student (NON-EU), you must do the pre-enrolment at the Italian Embassy for your country in order to apply for entry Visa for reasons of study.
EU and Non-EU students with a foreign degree, once admitted to GIOCA, next to complying with the rules and deadlines established by the University of Bologna, must pre-enrol online through the Universitaly portal by July. For more information:

Tuition fees are calculated based on the 2024 ISEE value with special subsidies in relation to the right to higher education. First year students with an ISEE of less than or equal to € 27,000. Above this limit, tuition fees are calculated progressively.
The ISEE value must be submitted, even if you have not enrolled in the Degree Programme, by 30 October 2024, at 6:00pm (or by 15 November 2024, at 6:00pm, paying a 100 € penalty) accessing ER-GO Online Services, alternatively you will have to pay the full amount.
