Linda Donahue 

The lecture will be held on Wednesday, March 19th, 4-5pm in room Filopanti 5, School of Economics, Management and Statistics, Bologna.


Dr. Linda Donahue is an Associate Professor, Associate Department Chair, and Graduate Advisor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas Tech University.  She is Head of the Arts Administration program and teaches Master’s and Doctoral courses in Funding the Arts, Marketing the Arts, Theatre Management, and Advocacy for the Arts.  Additionally she teaches two courses in the Fine Arts Doctoral Program:  “Theatre in Contemporary Context” and “Historical and Critical Prospectives in Theatre Arts.”  Dr. Donahue regularly directs plays on the Mainstage, most recently “Rent” in October.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for Texans for the Arts, a state-wide arts advocacy group; additionally, she is on the Steering Committee of the Prague (Czech Republic) Playhouse.  Each summer, she hosts a study abroad trip, either to Seville (Spain)--where she teaches Theatre Appreciation, or to Prague--where she teaches “The Arts In Prague.”  Dr. Donahue was awarded the designation of Integrated Scholar by Texas Tech University;  this award goes to the top professors who integrate research, teaching, and service into their academic lives and careers.
