Since 1995, coordinator of the international festival Il Cinema Ritrovato, dedicated to the study of film history. Specialisation in search of the best film sources at the international level, in the management of a large production team, in the production of musical accompaniment for silent films, in the organisation of international conferences and in the economic management of events.
Since 1995, coordinator of the summer programming Sotto le Stelle del Cinema (Under the stars of cinema), presenting film classics open-air on Piazza Maggiore on a huge screen (central square of Bologna).
Curator since 1994 of thematic programmes and monographic retrospectives programmed at the Cinema Lumière in Bologna, and circuited throughout Italy and Europe (Martin Scorsese, The Belgian cinema, Cinema from the countries at war, Yasujiro Ozu, Kenji Mizoguchi Silent Divas, Shohei Imamura, Kino Tovarisc, Nouvelles Vagues, Tutto Fellini, All Kubrick, Elia Kazan,…).
Organiser of meetings with film personalities from all over the world: Stanley Donen, John Boorman, Fatih Akin, Philippe Noiret, Marion Hansel, Nizametin Aric, Baktyar Kudoynazarov, Rashid Masharawi, Moufida Tlatli, Joseph Pitchhadze, Gila Almagor, Fernando Pérez Henri-François Imbert, Jean-Luc Gordard, Bertrand Tavernier, Anna Karina, Micheline Presle ...
Collaborator since 1994 for the construction of several European projects dedicated to film restoration and staff training (Force, Kaleidoscope, Raphael, Leonardo, EFG, FIAF Summer School) and the Congress of the Fédération Internationale des Archives de Film in 1994.
Creator and curator from 1998 to 2008 the European Film Schools Festival. Organisation of film classes taught by great directors like Peter Greenaway, Abbas Kiarostami, Paul Schrader, Olivier Assayas, Peter Weir, André Delvaux, Gianni Amelio and Francesco Rosi.
Publications: All catalogues of Il Cinema Ritrovato and European Film Schools Festival, Movies are my life, the second film Martin Scorsese, Cinema from the countries at war, Kenji Mizoguchi, Jacques Brel, The Cinema Flemish. Participation in the collective book Visages du cinéma européen.
