Language requirements

International programmes at UNIBO are demanding and you will need to demonstrate that you have a high level of English language proficiency before you embark on your studies

The English language requirement is fulfilled during the application phase.

You fulfill language requirements if...

  • You successfully completed an undergraduate degree (of at least three years duration), a postgraduate English taught degree, a qualification in English language and literature or equivalent major  or

  • You passed an English exam (or having obtained a pass/fail qualification) in your previous degree course  (transcript of records showing the exam, with the B2 level indicated either in the course title or specified in the learning objectives) or you passed at least 6 credits in  English in scientific area  "language, translation, linguistics"  or
  • You are a national and resident of one of the majority English-speaking countries (whose first language is English). If it is not clear elsewhere in your application, please provide an indication that English was the language of instruction in your primary/secondary education or
  • you have a suitabel certificate among one of the "list  of accepted international language certificate" below or
  • you pass the "Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT) at Unibo Language Center" on the dates published below.
