This programme produces 2nd cycle graduates with advanced scientific knowledge in the management of sports facilities and the organisation of sports events. This programme produces 2nd cycle graduates with advanced scientific knowledge in the management of sports facilities and the organisation of sports events.
In the programme students acquire knowledge and competences in the motor and sports field focusing on strategic planning, business organisation, sports law, marketing, communication, territorial programming of sports activities, from a legal and management point of view.
The programme also provides knowledge of sports facilities and safety of sports facilities.
Particular attention is paid to the organisation of tourism, sports and wellbeing activities.
A further outcome of the programme is advanced scientific knowledge in the management of top-level sports businesses.
The outcomes are achieved through lectures, seminars, meetings with sector experts and case studies; at the end of the programme students will produce an experimental dissertation on a topic linked to the curriculum.

Admission requirements for the degree programme To be able to profitably follow the 2nd cycle degree programme in Wellness and Sports Management, students must possess sufficient basic knowledge of physical activity, legal and economic subjects. Knowledge and skills in the English language to level B1 will be assessed by the University Linguistic Centre. Admission requirements for the degree programme
To be able to profitably follow the 2nd cycle degree programme in Wellness and Sports Management, students must possess sufficient basic knowledge of physical activity, legal and economic subjects.
Knowledge and skills in the English language to level B1 will be assessed by the University Linguistic Centre.
Students holding a corresponding language certification may be exempted from sitting this exam.
Admission to the 2nd cycle degree programme is subject to the possession of a 1st cycle degree in one of the following classes, or other suitable qualification obtained abroad:
- ex Italian Ministerial Decree 270: L 22; L-18; L-33; L-14
- ex. Italian Ministerial Decree no. 509/99: Class 33, 17, 28, 2, 31
- ISEF Diploma;
If none of the aforementioned degrees are possessed, admission to the 2nd cycle degree programme is subject to the possession of one of the following qualifications: degree, three-year university diploma, four-year university degree, other qualification recognised under special laws or a suitable qualification obtained abroad leading to the recognition of at least 60 CFU in the subject areas covering the core learning activities of Class L-22 as laid down in Ministerial Decree (D.M.) of 16 March 2007 establishing university degree classes (Official Journal no. 155 of 6-7-2007 - Ordinary Suppl. no.153).
A Board is appointed by the Degree Programme Board to recognise the university learning credits required for admission, at the specific request of the candidate.
Admission to the 2nd cycle degree programme is subject to the possession of the described curricular requirements and to the passing of an assessment of the candidates' competences and skills, in one of the following ways:
- written exam
- oral exam
- written and oral exam
- assessment of the candidate's curriculum
The entrance examination procedures are decided annually by the Degree Programme Board and published on the University portal.
Candidates must pass the exam in order to register with the 2nd cycle degree programme.
Admission is automatic for candidates in possession of:
- one of the qualifications listed in paragraph 2, obtained with a score of at least that laid down annually by the Degree Programme Board and published in the Student Handbook/on the University Portal;
- one of the qualifications listed in paragraph 3, with at least 90 credits recognised in the subject areas covering the core learning activities in Class L-22 as listed in D.M. of 16 March 2007 establishing university degree classes (Official Journal no. 155 of 6-7-2007 - Ordinary Suppl. no.153), obtained with a score of at least that laid down annually by the Degree Programme Board and published in the Student Handbook/on the University Portal.
A special Admissions session may be held for international students, with a Board appointed to assess the candidates' personal competencies and skills; this session will be compatible with the schedule established in the call for applications for study grants (which indicatively expires in May).
International students who pass the above-mentioned assessment are exempted from the following assessment of their personal competencies and skills required for other students.
