Intervento su politiche agricole negli Stati Uniti presso il corso di Geografia Economica ed Economia delle Risorse Ambientali - Sophie Dévienne Professor of Agricultural Economics and Comparative Agriculture at AgroParisTech (Paris)
Within a global context of agricultural trade liberalization, the United States and the European Union provide the highest support to their agriculture. The two entities are the World’s largest exporters of farm products, sharing nearly 40% of the global agricultural exchanges. This results from long-lasting traditions of robust state interventions in the primary sector. Goals, approaches and outcomes of the United States farm policy will be examined, while providing some elements of comparison with the European Union.
