The Ocean is the “Life support system” of our Planet, its fundamental element. However, humans have often used the Ocean as a dump or have exploited the Ocean resources in an unsustainable manner. It is now urgent to adopt an ecological, economic and law paradigm shift to acknowledge intrinsic Ocean Rights. The Ocean Race, together with the Municipality of Genoa, are promoting a bottom-up changing process for the adoption of this innovative approach by the UN General Assembly.
