Dear Incoming/Exchange students,
welcome to the Interpreting Master's Programme of the University of Bologna!
If you are struggling with courses to be included in your Learning Agreement, you may reach out to the Head of the Master's Programme in Interpreting: ira.torresi@unibo.it.
Please note that advanced Italian is a prerequisite for all Interpreting courses (e.g. Interpreting between Italian and English; between Italian and French; etc.). We offer special on-demand 3-credit conference interpreting courses, called "Workshops", for exchange students who are staying for one semester only (typically, the first/fall semester). These presuppose at least lower intermediate - not beginner - level interpreting skills. If you are interested, we suggest attending the corresponding 2nd year classes for a couple of weeks, and ask for teachers' advice, before including them in your Learning Agreement. If you do decide to take the end-of-semester exam, please contact the Head of the Master's Programme in Interpreting (ira.torresi@unibo.it) who will be happy to instruct the administration to activate such workshops.
Here are the complete names to be included in your Learning Agreement:
LABORATORIO DI INTERPRETAZIONE SIMULTANEA E CONSECUTIVA DALL'ITALIANO IN FRANCESE [or: INGLESE, or: TEDESCO, or: RUSSO, or: SPAGNOLO] (ERASMUS)
LABORATORIO DI INTERPRETAZIONE SIMULTANEA E CONSECUTIVA DAL FRANCESE [or: INGLESE, or: TEDESCO, or: RUSSO, or: SPAGNOLO] IN ITALIANO (ERASMUS)
Please browse the entire offer of the Master's Programme here: https://corsi.unibo.it/magistrale/Interpretazione/insegnamenti. Do not forget to check out the course listings by semester in the attached files ("Semestralizzazioni")!
Once you have chosen your courses, check their time schedule, updated in real time, here: https://corsi.unibo.it/magistrale/Interpretazione/orario-lezioni (select 1st/2nd year, then press "Vai/Go") . Please note that this schedule will only be online a couple of weeks prior to the start of the semester.
Have a nice stay in Forlì!
