Practical-Evaluative Test (PPV) for students enrolled in the qualifying course  

The practical-evaluative test (PPV) aims to verify the professional skills acquired with the practical-evaluative internship (TPV) and to guarantee your level of technical preparation for the qualification to practice the profession. You will therefore have to carry out the PPV at the end of the internship period and before the discussion of the degree thesis, on the appropriate dates identified for each degree session.

Only by obtaining the assessment of suitability for the PPV you will be able to access the discussion of the degree thesis.

The judging commission is made up of at least four members, of which:

- two university professors of disciplines in characterizing sectors (CHIM/08, CHIM/09, BIO/14), of which one identified as President;

- two members of the Order of Pharmacists of the local area in which the study course is located.

 

The Practical Evaluative test (PPV): what is it 

The PPV consists of an oral exam and focuses on the following areas: 
-professional ethics; 

-management and performance of the pharmaceutical service; 

-administration/dispensing, storage and preparation of medicines; 

-services provided within the National Health Service; 

-population health information and education; 

-entrepreneurial management of the pharmacy and all the services required by current legislation. 

In particular, the exam aims to evaluate the achievement of the objectives and skills acquired on the basic contents foreseen by the Practical Evaluation Internship (TPV).

 

What you have to do to carry out the Practical Evaluation Internship test 

To carry out the PPV you must have completed the Practical Evaluation Internship
TIROCINIO PRATICO VALUTATIVO (TPV): the PPV must be taken within 12 months by the TPV being recorded. You will also need to have submitted your graduation application. 

Specifically:

- The end of the TPV internship must be recorded in your career

- You must have taken all the exams foreseen in the programme teaching plan, with grades recorded in your career 

- You must have booked the PPV exam on AlmaEsami by the deadline set by the scheduling teacher

- You must have submitted your graduation application (having paid the graduation fee)

- Within the deadline to submit the graduation application, you must have paid the state tax due for the professional qualification (as described below).

 

How many sessions are planned to support the PPV 
For each 2024/2025 graduation session, one single PPV session is scheduled. The dates for these sessions are published on this page, here below. 

If you do not pass the PPV, you will not be able to graduate in the respective graduation session. 

Payment of the tax for professional qualification 

Within the deadline to submit the graduation application, which is set for each graduation session, it is necessary to:
 

-arrange the payment of the state tax of €49.58 due for the professional qualification, to the postal account 1016 - made out to the Revenue Agency - School Fees - Pescara Operations Centre; 

-send, from your institutional email address, a copy of the relevant payment receipt to the segrimini@unibo.it  mailbox with the subject: "Receipt of qualifying degree tax fee".
