This activity, which is part of the CCT of Large Animals, is aimed to achieving transversal training in the areas of animal production and farm animal clinic. The activity takes place outside the Department and consists of 3 days during which the student involved in CCT supports external tutors at the livestock farms in which they operate, being actively involved.
Before starting the activity on the farms, the student is required to complete the Extramural Clinical Core Training (CCT) project (“Progetto formativo”) and signed by Prof. Alessandro Spadari.
On the day of the activity, the external tutor has to sign the Extramural CCT project.
The student is required to record the activities carried out on the appropriate logbook pages (one page for each day), taking care to fill in all the fields and obtain the approval signature of the external tutor.
Only patients for which the trainee has been actively involved should be counted (specifying how many were visited in the on-call activity), identifying them by means of the farm number, ear tag code and briefly indicating the manual action that has been performed on each one.
At the end of the day, the student is required to record the same information on the electronic form accessible at this link (one form for each farm visited). The correspondence between the logbook pages and the electronic form will be verified.
