Curricular internships - practical activities related to the preparation of the thesis

5th-Year Interships do not resume in a face to face mode before next July 1st, 2020. Further communication will follow.

Starting from June 1st 2020, even thought students can still continue their internship online, based on the decision of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, internships related to the preparation of the final thesis, both within and outside the University, can be resumed and/or delivered in a face to face mode.

How to resume the internship in case of suspension

In case the internship has to be resumed the student has to define with the host institution the exact date and the modalities to access the place where it is carried out. Furthermore, he has to send an email to the Internship Office (Tirocinio.vet@unibo.it ), copying the Academic Tutor and the Tutor of the host institution- to communicate the exact date of resumption of the face to face activities.

Information for students who start a face to face internship

Internship outside the University

In case of an internship to be carried out outside the University, you have to be informed about the safety rules in place at the host institution and comply with them, in particular regarding  how to behave, how to have access and exit the working place and how to use the individual protection devices they will provide.

Internship within the University

In case of an internship to be carried out within the University,  you have to be informed about the safety rules in place at the Department and comply with its rules on how to behave, how to have access and exit the working place and how to use the provided individual protection devices.

Please acknowledge that in case you carry an internship at the University, it is compulsory to immediately inform your Academic tutor in case you get a diagnosis of positivity for COVID-19; furthermore, it is forbidden to access the Department in case of:

  • Positivity to SAR-COV-2 (COVID-19)
  • Quarantine provision made by the health authority
  • High temperature (higher than 37.5°C);
  • presence of flu symptoms
  • awareness of having had contacts with infected people within the previous 14 days.
