The Master’s Degree provides advanced insights into the climate system, encompassing its atmospheric, oceanic, geological, and biological components. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, the program empowers students with sought-after skills in the job market, including proficiency in data analysis, artificial intelligence techniques, and climate modeling.
The courses span from Earth’s System modelling to paleoclimate, focusing on the role of water resources, ecosystems and surface processes. The program integrates advanced data processing techniques, in-depth knowledge of complex systems, and hands-on internship opportunities in research institutions and climate services, to mold students into climate change experts and/or climatologists.
The degree offers fellowships to study abroad in three forms: a thesis preparation, an internship, or a semester at a partner university. This allows the student to engage with leading institutions in both research and industry sectors, fostering valuable connections and experiences.
Students will gain expertise in topics of growing interest at the European and global level, with the prospect of sustained growth in investments.
The structure of the course is highly multidisciplinary and unique at national level and beyond.
Lecturers will include internationally recognized researchers and distinguished guest lecturers from academia and the private sector.
Students will have the possibility, for their Thesis, to work on are search project in collaboration with external Institutions and agencies.
