The Universities of Padua and Bologna jointly offer an innovative, multidisciplinary degree programme, the first two years of which are held in Padua and include courses such as cellular and molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics and computational biology, biostatistics, and physiology. The third year is focused on the biological bases of diseases (in Padua) or on environmental influences on human health (in Bologna). Courses are taught in English, offering to graduates the opportunity to enter the labour market or pursuing studies not only in Italy, but also abroad. The specificity of the degree programme is the advanced methodological connotation in the field of Biology, which is coupled with contents that deepen the knowledge on the consequences of global changes on human health.
