Curriculum: Business and Administration (CLAMEM - B&A)

B&A Learning outcomes

The two-year postgraduate degree course in Economics and Management provides the international curriculum Business and Administration entirely taught in English. As future managers, consultants and entrepreneurs, students will acquire advanced knowledge about business administration and entrepreneurial skills connected to innovation and business start-up projects. A special focus will be placed on the interdisciplinary character of managerial skills in an international context, by bridging fields like economics, statistics mathematics and law.

 

Programme contents

The degree programme has a study load of 120 ECTS. First year modules cover the areas of decision-making and strategy, quantitative methods, law, international economics, accounting, food supply chain management and business plan. Second year B&A modules cover the areas of finance, international management and marketing.  The programme also includes a job placement seminar and several dedicated workshops and additional specific activities (company visits, challenges etc.).

Students may personalize their study plan with elective courses and specific internship programmes and also take the opportunity to apply for the Double Degree Programme with Neoma Business School – Reims and ICN Business School – Nancy, as well as for many other exchange opportunities offered by the School.

 

Career opportunities

Graduates will be trained to carry out professional roles such as:

  • Marketing and HR manager within manufacturing, service and consultancy companies, banks and insurance companies, in both local and international contexts;
  • Finance-control manager, financial and managerial consultant and analyst in industrial and service companies, banks, surveillance bodies, financial institutions, consultancy companies, investments funds, in both national and international contexts;
  • Entrepreneur, Consultant, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in business start-ups.

 

Food System Management (CLAMEM - FoodSys)

Learning outcomes

The two-year postgraduate degree course in Economics and Management provides the international curriculum Food System Management (FoodSyS) entirely taught in English. As future managers, advisors and entrepreneurs in agro-food and rural systems, students will acquire advanced knowledge about business administration and entrepreneurial skills. Specific competencies include knowledge of agro-food, environmental economics, business logistics and food supply chain management, food quality management, international food marketing, food and agricultural policy, rural economics and policy, international relations and projects management.

Programme contents:

The degree programme has a study load of 120 ECTS. First year modules are common for Business and Administration and Food System Management curricula and cover decision-making and strategy, quantitative methods, law, international economics, accounting, food supply chain management.

The programme also includes a job placement seminar and several dedicated workshops and additional specific activities (company visits etc.).

Second year FoodSyS modules include food system economics and policy, global food marketing, food quality management, agricultural and food policy, rural development, bioenergy economics. Some of the courses are designed and taught in collaboration with recognized professors from the University of Missouri (USA) and INRA - Ivry (F). 

Career opportunities 

FoodSyS graduates will have the opportunity to access a wide range of managerial positions in food businesses, consultancy companies, public administrations, local and international agencies with positions in the following units / offices:

·         Supply chain management;

·         International marketing and distribution management;

·         Private and public research and development;

·         Investment centers within firms, corporations, agencies;

·         Project implementation within private and public organizations.
