EU Aid Volunteers Programme presentation

from 12 March 2018 to 31 December 2018

Eu Aid Volunteers programme by the NGO GVC Gershevitch classroom, Palazzo Verdi, Via G. Pasolini 23, Ravenna - March 12th 2018.

EU Aid Volunteers is an European international volunteer programme for humanitarian missions abroad and an initiative by the European Commission’s department for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO).

It offers EU citizens, as well as those resident in Europe for a lengthy period, the opportunity to be involved in paid foreign voluntary work in humanitarian aid projects worldwide. GVC is currently the only Italian organization active in sending the Eu Aid Volunteers.

For 2018, GVC expects to select 40 volunteers who will be sent to several local humanitarian organizations in 12 countries: Bolivia, Peru, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Mozambique, Tunisia, Lebanon, Palestine, Cambodia and Thailand. Each volunteer will receive a monthly pocket money, based on the cost of living in each country. Travel costs, health insurance and mandatory vaccines, any visas and accommodation will be covered by the project.
