On October 1st, the award ceremony for the inaugural Bianca Pomeranzi Prize was held in Rome, at the headquarters of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). A special mention was awarded to Yasmine Aburaya, a graduate of our Master’s in International Cooperation on Human Rights and Intercultural Heritage, for her thesis titled ‘Reframing Protection: A Legal Feminist Critique of the Istanbul Convention's Provisions on Migrant Women through an Intersectional Lens.’ Her work was recognized for its feminist approach to women’s rights.
The Bianca Pomeranzi Prize itself was awarded to Lena Châtreaux, a student of the University of Turin, who is currently completing an internship at OXFAM Italy as part of her prize.
Congratulations to all the participants!
