The Bologna Peacebuilding Forum (BPF) 2025, organized by the Agency for Peacebuilding, will take place in Bologna from 7 to 9 May 2025. This year’s edition is titled “Smart Peace. Tech. Human. Possible.” and it will focus on the role of emerging technologies in peacebuilding and conflict resolution in an increasingly digital and polarized world.
Armed conflicts intensify daily and trust in peace processes declines as a result of that: the Forum aims to explore how digital tools can support sustainable peace and human-centered solutions. The event will bring together international experts, practitioners, scholars, and policy-makers to reflect on the intersection of technology, systemic thinking and peace efforts.
This year will mark its seventh edition, in fact the Forum is a key international platform for dialogue and innovation in the field of peacebuilding. It is organized with the support of multiple institutions, including the Municipality of Bologna, Region Emilia-Romagna, AICS, Johns Hopkins SAIS, University of Bologna and the University Network for Peace, among others.
