Recognition of working or extracurricular activities as curricular internship

If you have carried out a working experience or an experience beyond University consistent to the degree programme learning activities you can ask for the recognition of these activities as a curricular internship.

You can apply for recognition:

  • after having included the internship in the study plan
  • in the academic year which includes the internship activity
  • after the conclusion of the activity carried out (in Italy or abroad)
  • regardless of the existence of an agreement between the University and the host organization where the extra-university activity was carried out
  • at any time of the year

To apply for recognition, you must submit to the Student Administration Office (via registered letter or by making an appointment  writing to segravenna@unibo.it):

  • the recognition request of credits for extra-university activities duly stamped (duty stamp € 16), filled in and signed (see Attachments Box);
  • the certificate of the activity carried out filled in and signed by the host organization (see Attachments Box);
  • the internship final report, to be drawn up according to the procedures normally envisaged for evaluating the curricular internship.

Only if the recognition concerns the internship for final examination it is also necessary to attach to the documents mentioned above a declaration of the end of activities issued by the Thesis Supervisor certifying the activity object of the request.

The request for recognition is evaluated by the Degree Programme Board, in accordance with the Internship Board.

The outcome of the evaluation and the updating of the career is communicated by the Student Administration Office within 60 days from the submission of the request.

ATTENTION

- If you are about to graduate please keep in mind the date by which you must have all your credits registered (those coming from the recognition too).

- The credits recognised can impact the examination of the merit requirements to obtain the total exemption or the calculation of the student contribution based on economic status and merit.

- You cannot ask for recognition of activites performed in host organisation whose legal manager, member or director/supervisor/person in charge has family bonds (2° degree of kinship) with you.

- You can’t submit request for extracurricular activites already recognised by University.
