Cooperation agreement with Johns Hopkins University – School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) - Master in International Affairs (MAIA)

The Master Degree in Resource Economics and sustainable Development (RESD) - University of Bologna has signed a cooperation agreement with the Master of Arts in International Affairs (MAIA) of Johns Hopkins University - School of Advanced international Studies (SAIS).
The agreement enables the participation of respective students in degree programs offered by the other party, the recognition of credits on the basis of deliberation from the respective academic bodies, and the eventual awarding of the following international Master programme in “Laurea Magistrale in Resource Economics and Sustainable Development” from University of Bologna and the Master of Arts in International Affairs (MAIA) from SAIS.
RESD students: To be considered eligible, students must be enrolled in the first year of RESD at University of Bologna. The selection process will be responsibility of SAIS, following the standards of admission to MAIA, and the related deadlines. RESD students interested in applying should prepare their application for the MAIA during their first year at RESD. On successful completion of the selection process, selected student should be able to enrol in the second year of MAIA, but only if they have completed all the RESD first-year requirements before the beginning of the academic year at SAIS.
MAIA students: To be considered eligible, students should prepare their appication for RESD following the deadlines of the 3 intakes of the Call for applications.
Admitted RESD students will suspend their studies at the University of Bologna, enrol in the second year of MAIA at SAIS and pay the relevant SAIS tuition fees. Students who complete the MAIA requirements and are awarded the SAIS Master's degree will obtain, by submitting the relevant academic documentation, the Laurea Magistrale in Resource Economics and Sustainable Development.
