Preparing the study plan

Information on how to prepare and present a study plan.

AMaC 1st year students need to submit their study plan in order to confirm the compulsory 1st year teachings. (AMaC 1st year students also have the possibility to choose the option "Anticipation of the internship foreseen in the 2nd year" in their study plan, in this case the curricular internship foreseen for the 2nd year can be done already after the end of the 1st year lesson period.)

AMaC 2nd year students need to submit their study plan to communicate their choices.

What is a study plan?

The study plan is the complete set of exams that you need to sit in order to graduate. Some exams are compulsory, while others are elective.

Who can present a study plan?

A study plan can be presented by properly enrolled students who have paid their tuition fees and, in the case of international students, who hold a valid residence permit.

When to present your study plan

You can present and amend your study plan in two periods during the academic year

The open windows for the 2023/2024 AY are:
- First period: from October 7th to November 29th 2023
- Second period: from January 8th to April 5th 2024

Students presenting their study plan within November 29th 2023 can modify their study plan for the current academic year during the subsequent period of presentation.

Following expiry of the deadlines, the last study plan presented will be deemed valid and no further amendments may be made.

Once the study plan has been filled in online, it is immediately available on the AlmaEsami platform.

[Attention: Students intending to graduate within the academic year 2022/23 (=within the graduation session of March 2024), cannot present the study plan and modify the teachings which had been selected before.

Students who proceed with the payment of the first enrollment rate for the subsequent academic year and modify their study plan will not be able to present their graduation request for March 2024.]

Attention: Students enrolled on academic years subsequent to the first one, who have the intention to change a teaching related to years preceding the year they are currently enrolled on, CANNOT sit nor verbalize the modified exam until the end of the lessons of the current year.

How to present your study plan

Studenti Online

The study plan can be presented via Studenti Online by enrolled students who, accessing the website using their University usernames and passwords:
- need to add optional subjects to their plan;
- need to choose a curriculum;
- need to amend choices made in prior years.

After making the desired choices, remember to click on “save” so that your study plan can be presented correctly.

It is also advisable to print a copy of your completed study plan. This copy is in fact the only way to check for formal or substantive errors that might arise after uploading your study plan.

Hard-copy forms

Students who are “fuori corso” (past envisaged completion time for the degree course), students who enrolled for a "seconda laurea", students having made a change of curriculum and students having transferred from another degree programme or from another University and having asked for and obtained the recognition of credits, need to complete and present the study plan exclusively in paper form.
The paper study plan must be delivered to the Student Administration Office in Viale Filopanti 1 (entrance from Mura Anteo Zamboni 2/a) during the opening hours.

How to print the paper study plan:

To print the paper study plan, students enrolled within the regular duration period of their degree programme ("iscritti in corso") need to:

  1. connect to the following link,
  2. select the degree programme they are enrolled on,
  3. click on "Piano didattico: tutti gli insegnamenti del corso" and print the study plan related to their year of enrollment.

Students enrolled beyond the regular duration period of their degree programme ("fuori corso") need to:

1. connect to the link
2. click on "Piano didattico: tutti gli insegnamenti del corso" of the degree programme they are enrolled on and print the form.

How to fill in the paper study plan:

Students enrolled within the regular duration of the course ("iscritti in corso") need to fill in the study plan corresponding to the year on which they are enrolled (1°, 2°) inserting an "X" next to the title of the didactic activity they wish to choose.

Students "in corso" and students beyond the regular duration of the course ("fuori corso") intending to substitute some of the exams foreseen for the precedent academic years, need to insert an "S" next to the title of the didactic activity they wish to substitute and an "X" next to the didactic activity they wish to insert in the new study plan.

Complete the paper study plan by inserting your enrollment number ("matricola"), surname, name, date, cell phone number, e-mail address and sign it.

Students having already presented their study plan for the current academic year but wishing to insert new substitutions, need to write "modifica/modification" at the top of the paper study plan.

Study plan and exams: When to participate in an exam

It is possible to participate in an exam only if the corresponding didactic activity has been inserted in the study plan and the lesson period has been concluded. This is why it is always necessary to make sure that your study plan has been correctly filled in and that it had been correctly saved and is visible on the AlmaEsami platform. It is very useful to print your study plan or to save a copy in PDF.

Furthermore, to participate in an exam it is necessary that the lesson period of the corresponding didactic activity had been concluded. For further information, consult the didactic calendar and the lesson timetable of your degree programme.
