The course offers an overview of the evolution, current challenges, and prospective reforms of the WTO’s dispute settlement mechanism. Participants will explore the transformation from the GATT to the WTO, the Dispute Settlement Understanding within today’s shifting geopolitical landscape, the Appellate Body’s paralysis and the Multi-Party Interim Appeal Arbitration Arrangement (MPIA), and finally the reform initiatives.
The lectures will take place on November 25th and 26th and December 1st and 2nd from 3 to 5 p.m. More details on the content and rooms of each lecture on the Programme attached.
