Classrooms, labs and libraries

Headquarters

The course venue is in Ravenna.
Lessons and other teaching activities, with the exception of fieldwork, take place in three buildings located a few dozen metres apart. The entrances are connected by short pedestrian paths that cross a small green area.
The complex is used by the Environmental Science degree course and the Master's degree courses in Environmental Sustainability Science and Technology and Marine Biology.

  • Lectures hall (via Sant 'Alberto 163): the classrooms and the computer lab;
  • Laboratory of Environmental Sciences "Renzo Sartori" (via Sant 'Alberto 163): the research laboratories, the teachers' offices and an area used as a study room and, during lunch hours, as a refreshment point;
  • ITAS (via dell'Agricoltura 5): the building is used for the most part by a secondary school (agricultural institute), but there are some areas used by the University which host teaching and research laboratories, secretariats, library, and a study room / dining area. There is also a car park.

Due to extension work, the classroom block is currently not usable. Lectures and other teaching activities are all taking place in the ITAS.The extension work is expected to be completed in time for the next academic year 2024/25.  New teaching laboratories, a new library building and a refreshment area will then become available, in addition to the existing classrooms that are not currently accessible.
