Information on how to prepare and present a study plan.
The study plan is the complete set of exams that you need to sit in order to graduate. Some exams are compulsory, while others are elective.
A study plan can be presented by properly enrolled students who have paid their tuition fees and, in the case of international students, who hold a valid residence permit.
If you plan to graduate by the end of the former academic year (March 2026 graduation session), you cannot submit or change your study plan in the current academic year.
For example: if you change your study plan in October 2025 (hence in a.y. 25/26) you cannot graduate in the graduation sessions of academic year 24/25 (October 2025, December 2025, March 2026).
During the a.y. 2025/2026 you can submit and amend your study plan in the following period:
from October 1st, 2025 to 31st March, 2026
Following expiry of the deadlines, the last study plan presented will be deemed valid and no further amendments may be made.
The study plan is filled in and submitted through StudentiOnline. Once the deadline for submission expires, the latest submitted study plan will be considered valid and no more amendments will be accepted.
If you select elective courses from those offered by the Degree Programme, no evaluation is required and the study plan is automatically approved and added to your online records book .
If you want to choose courses outside those offered by the Degree Programme (= not included in the list “Free-choice academic activities”), you have to ask for the approval of the Degree Programme Director, by sending an email request to wacoma@unibo.it.
In your request, you must include the code and name of the course unit you want to choose and the link to the course contents page.
After the approval:
You need to submit your choices related to the Final Examination during the time period when it is allowed.
You have to select whether you intend to perform your internship/preparation for the final examination in Italy or abroad according to the thesis project agreed with your thesis supervisor.
