Abstract
Data integration techniques promise to investigate complex phenomena by exploiting existing data sources. In particular, statistical matching (aka data fusion) are designed to integrate data from sample surveys with the aim of studying the relationship between variables not jointly observed in a single data source. Data fusion techniques are commonly applied in marketing or socio-economic research (household well-being, etc.).
This seminar will provide insights on statistical matching, highlighting main areas of application and the major pros and cons.
