Attendance at learning activities is mandatory. To be eligible for integrated course exams, you must attend at least 60% of the scheduled in-person hours.
For Integrated Courses (IC), the 60% attendance requirement refers to the total number of in-person hours of the entire IC. Students who fail to meet the minimum attendance requirement will not be admitted to the final exam and must attend relevant classes again during the next academic year.
Brief absences for personal or health-related reasons are already accommodated by the minimum attendance requirement.
Additional absences may be authorized by submitting a motivated request to medicine.surgery@unibo.it under the following circumstances:
- Students with institutional roles who participate in official activities; a complete list of absences must be submitted before the end of each semester.
- First year students who areunable to meet the minimum attendance requirement for first-semester courses due to exceptional circumstances beyond their control (e.g. visa delays). In such cases, students must complete compensatory measures to be admitted to corresponding exams. Students will be informed of required measures and the relevant deadlines.
All other requests for justification of absences due to exceptional reasons will be reviewed on an ad hoc basis following submission to medicine.surgery@unibo.it.
Excused absences do not count against the student’s attendance record when determining compliance with the minimum attendance requirement.
Students may be required to complete compensatory measures.
Please note that students with health conditions that significantly impact their studies should consult the Service for Students with Disabilities and SLD for support and information about other available accommodations.
