Medical check for clerkship attendance reserved for 2nd year student

Students enrolled in the second year of the Medicine and Surgery Degree Program will have to undergo a medical check-up by the Occupational Medicine Operating Unit of the S. Orsola-Malpighi Polyclinic Pad. 9 -1st floor directed by prof. Violante.

 

Clerkship registrations will open on January 17, from 9.00.

 

WHAT TO DO

After registration, each student, in chronological order of clerkship period booked, will receive a telephone communication from the Hospital with the date and time set for the blood test and the medical check to be carried out at the outpatient departments of the Occupational Medicine of the S. Orsola Polyclinic- Malpighi Pad. 9 -1st floor directed by prof. Violante.

 

Students who book the first clerkship period will be called starting from 31/1 for the blood test and starting from 07/02 for the medical check.

 

The prerequisite to receive authorization and access the internship is immunocompetence (from vaccination or natural) for infectious diseases tested with laboratory tests and complete vaccination for SARS CoV-2.

 

In the first appointment, the following will be performed:

  • Quantiferon blood test;
  • Possibility of HIV control if requested by the person concerned, after specific informed consent;
  • Verification of measles, rubella and chicken pox vaccination (exception made for written documentation of immunization).

 

In the second appointment the occupational medicine visit will be carried out.

 

THE DAY OF THE FIRST APPOINTMENT: It is necessary to show up at the communicated time and bring the following documents:

  1. Health card;
  2. University badge;
  3. Vaccination certificate (can also be a copy of the original)

 

It is recommended to answer telephone calls and to be mindful of the assigned reservations. Failure to show up for blood tests or medical check will result in the postponement of the clinical clerkship booking in the periods still available.
